TRANSMYTHIC PROCESSION

A collaboration between Transmedia Art and Wiener Festwochen

Blending elements of religious ritual, military formation, and rural tradition, the Transmythic Processionunfolds as a unique collective act in public space. Suspended between ceremony, parade, and folk festival, it creates a dynamic and participatory experience.

Conceived as a contemporary choreography, the procession traces a shared path each Wednesday—from the University of Applied Arts to the floating House of the Republic. Along this journey, free, performative, and resistant expressions emerge, celebrating new forms of belonging and alternative communities.

Dates: Wednesday, May 20, May 27, June 3, June 10, June 17.

The course lasts two semesters and culminates in an exhibition in June 2026. Attendance, active participation and the development of an individual artistic work are taken into account for grading. Participation in the planning and organization of the exhibition is also part of the course.

The lecture results in an exhibition during Angewandte Festival and will be part of the Wiener Festwochen program.
