2026S, Lecture with Practical Exercises (VU), 2.0 ECTS, 2.0 semester hours, course number S01510
Description
Understanding and mastering light as a central design tool is the basic theme of the lecture. This applies to
both the technical and content-related aspects of lighting. With practical exercises, the students' basic
photographic knowledge will be expanded and basic techniques, such as light measurement, the choice of
light sources and light shapers, are theoretically and practically deepened.
The aim of the course is the independent planning and design of lighting situations in the studio and on
location with daylight, continuous light and professional flash systems, but also with inexpensive aids such
as rescue foils, Styros or construction spotlights.
Basic photographic knowledge of the relationship between time - aperture - ISO required.
Teaching language is german.
