Description
General topic: Large format photography with the view camera and the classic negative formats 4x5 and 8x10inch.
A dialog about the meaning and justification of analog technology in the age of AI in artistic work with photography is an increasingly important aspect of teaching.
This course builds on the students' basic knowledge of camera technology, light metering and negative development.
Real McCoy is aimed at students with advanced knowledge of analog photography, basic knowledge of 4x5 camera technology is assumed.
In addition to teaching the theoretical fundamentals, this course focuses on the practical application of the learning content in the context of an individual artistic project.
The teaching language is German
Examination Modalities
Attendance, cooperation and completion of the student's own work are taken into account in the grading.
Comments
The following order always applies to the allocation of course places, which are limited in number:
1. regular students of the Angewandte who require a "Pflichtfachzeugnis".

4. co-enrolled students from other universities
Applications will be ranked within the categories in the order in which they are received.
Due to the complex requirements of working with view cameras, previous experience with analog photography is crucial for admission to the course.
