The aim of studying photography / Institute of Fine Arts is to enable students to work out individual stategies of creating artworks and to achieve an independent artistic position. The specially supported content-related artistic research and gaining analogue and digital photographic techniques form the prerequisite for using the medium of photography freely, in accordance with the artistic idea.

Students in the first semester are fully integrated into the structure of the Department of Photography and attend the courses (ZKF) and specific workshops on various content and technical topics offered. An intensive, individual and content-related exchange takes place in order to enable and encourage the development towards artistic independence.

Attendance and participation in the activities of the Department of Photography. Intensive practical and content-related discussions as well as the realisation of theit artistic projects, the documentation of the artistic works for the class's internal archive of artworks included.
