The course "Introduction to Subject Didactics" provides an overview of selected key subject didactics concepts and approaches for the artistic-practical subjects of Technology and Design and Art and Design. In an initial "field survey" and in contrast to general didactic approaches, key terms of design and art didactics (as well as other relevant related disciplines and/or didactics) are explained and introduced in more detail. The goal is to further explore subject didactics as a theoretical and practical interface and not only to familiarize students with subject didactics-specific concepts and approaches, but also to make them accessible and usable for their own understanding as educational practitioners.

Research question: How could subject didactics concepts be helpful in meeting current school requirements of the subject, and what tools do they offer us?

50% active participation, interim and final presentations, presentations
50% written contribution: Elaboration by a subject didactician: work, research focus, and relevance to the subject discourse in 6,000-8,000 characters (body text only, including spaces, including at least 7 references) and a summary of no more than 800 characters (including spaces).
For a positive overall assessment, both sections (collaboration and written contribution) must be successfully completed.

Last possible submission date: February 28.

Submissions after the deadline cannot be considered; the seminar must be repeated.
