Resonance & collective Improvisation
Timothy Nouzak
Angewandte Performance Lab, Angewandte Performance Lab
2025W, artistic Seminar (SEK), 2.0 ECTS, 2.0 semester hours, course number S05695
Description
(Für deutsch bitte auf Base AT auswählen!)
Intersubjective worlds.
According to Hartmut Rosa*, resonance as a site of deceleration emerges where people encounter one another. But to perceive and feel this, a state of openness and calmness are required.
Improvisation as a social practice of searching and finding together introduces interested students to the compositional concepts in which the collective experience is explicitly considered choreographically. Based on various guided and later self-developed improvisation techniques, we will perceive space in its presence and transform it situationally through performative impulses.
The focus of the course is on collective experimentation, with the aim of deepening and strengthening the often transdisciplinary approach of the Angewandte study programs through improvisation and performative expression.
