Description
Class with Lydia Haider
When is a speech political, and when does it become religious? We examine the different rhetorical functions of influence (message control) and prayer and reveal their messages. What should sermons be about, what can they do, and what forms of subversion exist?
We go to churches together (on Fridays at 3 p.m., all church bells ring in Austria). We also test the texts with actors. We try to approach all forms of preaching (and preaching someone down, etc.)—all forms of rhetoric. At the end, there is a performance (which we work out together).
