In this introductory course we will explore the usage of  interviews in different settings and produce our own radio broadcast. Therefore we collaborate with Viennese community radio station "Radio Orange". We will learn methods such as journalistic research and interviewing as well as basic audio editing and life history (Oral History) interviewing.

Additionally  we will have a look at how interviews can be used in exhibition settings and how and when Oral History or expert interviews are used as a research method.

Student groups will produce their own interviews, short interview transcript and radio broadcast based on the recorded interviews.

Group work in form of a self-conducted interview and interview transcript and artistic/journalistic mini project based on this interview(s).
