Description

COMPOSING AND PERFORMING WITH MEDIA IN TIME

In this course we'll experiment on composint and performing with audio and visual media in time. Participants will learn how to create a real-time multi-media environment that can be used to develop time-based compositions and potentially perform by embodied interaction. We will experiment with: audio/visual composition, musical structures, dramatugy, embodied interaction, performing media with movements and gestures.  The seminar is hands-on; participants will work on their laptop and have opportunities to perform their compositions and experiments if they wish.  A tailored library of software modules designed for this seminar is provided to minimize programming time and maximize experimentation with the technology.
