The course will provide an introduction into the research questions, topics, and methods of political science and teach students how to apply this knowledge.

Introduction to Politics  1 (Winter Semester 2023/24)

Political Economy

  • Methods in Political Science (General introduction):

Basic/ applied research

Deductive/ inductive research

Longitudinal research/cross-sectional research

Quantitative/qualitative data collection

Prüfungsmodalitäten

There will be three tests during the semester: Key Concepts, Subfields, Methods

Anmerkungen

Successful completion of the course in the winter semester is a prerequisite for participation in the summer semester. In the summer semester, the topics of the winter semester will be deepened by the presentation of relevant academic literature by the students.
