Description

Photographic Narration in Publication Formats (Print and Digital / Zine and Web)

This course explores various possibilities and the associated workflows for giving photographic projects a narrative form.

We analyze and discuss examples ranging from traditional print products like books or zines to digital formats like websites or apps. An existing (or specially developed) photographic project will be integrated into a publication format. Through peer feedback on participants' project ideas, we will then work together to develop appropriate narrative structures for the projects.

This course covers various aspects, including:

  • Basics of editorial editing, sequencing, layout, and typography
  • Selection of materials and printing techniques
  • Feedback and Discussion of own projects
