The course is intended as an introduction to artistic practice and explores various fundamental questions: What initiates artistic processes and how are they continued? How do you develop relevant questions and build themes and enrich content? What is an artistic concept? What significance do research and contextualisation have in artistic work processes? What is the relationship between concept, production, presentation and reception? How to develop artistic positioning? What is aesthetic / artistic / practice-based research? The course explores these and related questions by doing. We will continuously analyze, reflect on and discuss individual and joint artistic work processes and results. The aim of the course is to develop a multi-perspective understanding of artistic practice in a jointly reflective work process as a basis for practicing art.
