Description
DISPLAY! What do you like to show each other? What do you like others to have seen? In public? In private? Do tattoos belong to the public or the private sphere? What about your voice? Or your gaze? Where are the `borders´ of the internet, the limits of chatGPT, the borders of `emotion´, The borders of `body´ ? ... Let's talk ethics and aesthetics! Let´s plan an exhibition!
MARKET PLACES & MUSEUMS: How to `display´ an exhibition? Alongside the term "Display" we are discussing art and language in the public and the private in its intersubjectiv interaction in different kind of spaces, including the world wide web, and bringing it together in an "assemble", with the help of de Certeau, Judith Butler, Lyotard, Mieke Bal and others. In talks with different artists about different aspects and impacts of `showing art´, we discuss tactics and strategies, Libidinal Economy, gaze and attention, once again display, linguistic statistical models and the borders of creativity, and about connecting science and `magic´.
In this seminar we go into discourse, do prepare and work on `exhibition´, and especially `group exhibition´, as a set for intersubjectiv narration. The seminar reacts to the exhibitions of the department and gives support in the field of realization.
