Description
This lecture was introduced to explain the origin of details of pattern and sewing techniques .It is important to understand why a pocket is placed on a particular position, why a slit has a certain length etc.
The students get technical information, and they can apply some knowledge directly into practice when they invent new pockets, collars, sleeves etc during these days.
In this lecture we also try to point out the quality of the making, and we want to motivate the students to think about the function of details in garments nowadays and in future life.
Design in a functional contxt I (WS 2025)
In this lecture we will analyse the function of a garment by investigating shirts

Examination Modalities
compulsory attendance and hand in of the documentation ,drafts and tests of new inventions

the lecture for DIFK I (for students who just sart to attend Modeklasse)
will be held on the 1st of October from 9:15 to 16:15 and
2nd of October from 9:15 to 16:15 and
3rd of October from 9:15 to 16:15
for the first Lecture please bring along 3 differnt shirts (used/vintage) which you can unravel
