Urban Strategies Integration
Andrea Börner
Institute of Architecture , Urban Strategies
2025W, scientific seminar (SEW), 3.0 ECTS, 2.0 semester hours, course number S03532
Description
Urban Strategies Integration provides a framework for articulating and deepening an urban / landscape aspect of the pre-diploma project. In group discussions and individual meetings, students are guided through the process of formulating and testing a hypothesis by anchoring their reasoning in related discourses on a relevant focus of their choice.
Note: Individual projects do not have to tackle large-scale urban designs in order to integrate urban strategies. However, it is necessary that the pre-diploma project – regardless of size – addresses an urban/landscape problematic clearly and consciously.
Examination Modalities
Continuous assessment during the development of the work. Written /visual essay, weighted in accordance to individual projects.
