In this seminar, we explore sculptural, installative, and object-based forms of expression. At the core of the course is each participant’s own artistic and practical work, accompanied by a reflective engagement with their creative process and group exchange.

We explore both real and imagined, internal spaces where personal, collective, and cultural memories are rooted. In this context, we understand the object not merely as a thing in space, but as a bearer of narratives.

Focus is placed on questions of spatial design, choice of materials, as well as staging and presentation.

• How can an idea become an object?

• What happens in the translation into three dimensions – what decisions do we make and with what awareness?

• What kinds of relationships emerge between viewer, space, and object?

• What role does the material play, and what stories does it carry?

• How do space and context influence the impact and readability of our works?

The seminar is enriched by group discussions, the examination of artistic positions, and (if applicable) exhibition visits.

The seminar is designed as a two-semester course and follows a thematic framework, which will be introduced in more detail during the first session.
