The winter semester will cover designing with typography, applying typeface(s).
Macro typography, typesetting and editorial design.

Lectures and exercises on the following topics:
– Font selection and font pairing
– Setting type for reading
– Ragged text and justified typesetting
– Paragraph styles and their settings in InDesign
– Hyphenation
– Typographic hierarchies
– Layout and grid systems
– Table of contents (design and creation)
– Formats and white spaces
– Accessibility

Main task will be an Editorial Design.
