Description
The lecture imparts expertise on the interplay of building parts in constructions, while taking into account selected building materials. The focus is concepts of “monomateriality” – i.e., one single material is used for creating the volume, the load-bearing structure and the skin of the building. Special attention is also given to the strains having an impact on the building and the requirements related to building physics.
Examination Modalities
1) Analysis of a selected project as a case study.
2) Developing the construction of a part of your own studio project.
3) Participation in desk crits
