September School - The Competition of Competitions

Description
Over the course of the September School, participants will craft a compelling conceptual rationale and programmatic framework for the future development of the site: Opel Werk Seestadt Aspern.
The September School is curated by: Ute Schneider (TU Urbanism), Sam Jacob (IoA), Lisa Schmidt-Colinet (IKA), Anastassia Smirnova-Berlin (IKA), Brigitte Felderer (Social Design).
We will work in several groups of multidisciplinary participants, each led by a duo of professors or instructors from three participating institutions: IKA (Academy of Fine Arts Vienna), the IoA and Social Design (University of Applied Arts Vienna), and the Institute of Urban Design and Landscape Architecture (Technical University Vienna).
The September School will conclude with the symposium Industrial XL: Transformations and a public presentation/award ceremony.

Examination Modalities
APPLY: Send a Letter of motivation (300 words) and a Bio (150 words) to stb@tuwien.ac.at before 23.00 on 01.07.2025. Please, state your name/surname, current program of studies, name of the institution. Applicants will be accepted as a result of the selection procedure.
In October the students further evaluate and present their ideas to the IoA community, reflecting on the Competitions in our profession.
