SITUATED EPISTEMOLOGY | REFLEXIVE WRITING | VISUAL ANALYSIS

Guided by cross-disciplinarity, this course gives students the time to keep an individual study journal during the course of the summer semester. The aim is to process the insights that arise from a meta-reflexive academic perspective on connections and common denominators between the courses attended, from project work, from heterogenous theoretical insights, and eventually from contradictions and conflictual academic debates.

The first session will include an introduction to standpoint theory / situated epistemology, reflexive writing, and visual analysis.

Peer presentation of  key insights and submission of a reflection paper on basis of an individual study journal, using the first person in a manner inspired my situated epistemologies.

Mandatory attendance during the introductory session on March 18 plus on a given date in June , on which the presentations of the individual reflection take place.
