This seminar explores storytelling as a method of decolonial knowledge production, centering on the ways narratives shape our understanding of history, memory, and belonging. This semester, we will engage deeply with A Glossary of Haunting by Eve Tuck and C. Ree, using haunting as a framework to examine histories of violence, dispossession, and resistance that persist in the present.

Through looking at artistic practices we will investigate how storytelling can unsettle dominant narratives and create space for silenced or marginalized voices. We will focus on visual and performative practices, experimental forms of narration, and methodologies that embrace opacity, refusal, and relationality.
