Students will apply the knowledge gained in the Winter Semester to specific topics of their choice by reading selected articles or book chapters and presenting them in class. Every student must prepare and present an academic article or book chapter. All other students are expected to read this article before class and to participate in discussions.
Topics will be decided upon in the first unit of the Summer Semester. In this way, subfields of political science according to the interests of the students according to the interests of the students will be discussed at more depth. The students will learn to summarize academic literature and to critically discuss it. This forms an important prerequisite for any kind of own research.
Prerequisites: Introduction to Politics 1. (Can be waived in case of previous studies of political science.)
