Description

Advanced knowledge of analogue darkroom practice (film processing, positive processing) is a prerequisite for participation in the course as well as attendance at the 1st meeting.

In this course, we will deal experimentally with the chemical processes of analogue photography and explore the question of what can happen when the given recipes and strict processing rules are deliberately ignored and processing errors are arbitrarily induced. The focus is set on the relationship between process, experiment, chance and materiality as well as the very process of making mistakes and the productive potential that can lie in this approach and the ways in which it can be actively integrated into the development of artistic works.
