In this course, we will take an in-depth look at various aspects of light and lighting.

On a theoretical but mostly practical level, we will cover topics such as combining natural light with flash and continuous light, high-speed synchronization, parabolic light shapers, freezing motion, faking sunlight, grip and lightstand knowledge, lighting analysis, etc

A basic knowledge of photographic techniques is required for participation in this course.

Due to the limited number of workstations and equipment, the course is primarily intended for students of the Department of Applied Photography and Time-Based Media.

80% attendance, active participation, homework and final exam.
