The course, a further development of the course of the same name from 2023, is once again dedicated to historical, feminist housing projects whose unifying element is the utopia of an equal, empathetic and caring coexistence. What can we learn from them and what relevance do they have for our present and future? Can we as artists change historical narratives or fill in the gaps? This time, a special focus will be on the publication ‘Making Space: Women and the Man-Made Environment’ (1983) by the London-based feminist architecture collective Matrix.
