Description
Using the inventory of the art collection and the archive of the Angewandte, we will devote ourselves to the various forms of reference to works of art and integrate them into our own artistic practices and concepts. In doing so, we will take a closer look at approaches and processes that span the spectrum between referentiality and the positions inscribed in it.
Based on Aby Warburg's "Mnemosyne", we will develop an atlas of associatively collected visual material, which will be the basis for discussing formal and conceptual aspects of artworks and everyday objects.
The seminar will be held in two intensive workshops.

Regular participation and collaboration as well as development of an individual approach to the topic (artistic project / concept / text)
