Methods for the analyses of objects (metal, glass, ceramics) will be explained with practical examples. Analyses  will be performed on  objects selected by the students within their semester projects with analytical methods available at the institute,  and microchemical spot tests for the identification of metals will be carried out on reference and unknown objects.

The students will learn how to define the analytical questions that need to be answered for the development of a conservation strategy, and how to plan an investigation campaign.
