Description

Based on practical examples and exercises this course will impart the design principles for digital interfaces. Apart from websites we will also discuss and work on other interfaces like apps, automation, touchscreens, …

The semester will start with the introduction into HTML, CSS and Javascript.

The rest of the course content will be developed by student projects (portfolio website) in conjunction with discussions and single sessions.

We will also have a look at very good executions of User Experience and will learn to rebuild these experiences.

  • HTML, CSS, JS
  • prototyping
  • navigation concept & information architecture
  • responsive design

Examination Modalities

It's all about getting really into the topic of interface design and UX. The flexibility, effort and creativity during the working process will be more important than the final outcome. You have to show up regularly to the weekly sessions, attendance at the final presentation in the end of the semester is essential.
