Beschreibung

ATLAS OF HABITATS [A]FA LAB

The Atlas of Habitats is a growing digital platform that collects and visualizes data on (animal) habitats from unseen perspectives across West Africa and Europe. It fosters a playful process of discovery and revelation, uncovering ecological connections that are invisible to the naked eye. By exploring these hidden relationships, the project aims to deepen understanding and respect for all beings, paving the way for shared future habitats and spaces.

This term, students will investigate and relate digital twins of natural habitats and beyond human avatars, leading to the design of virtual worlds that reflect the delicate interdependencies of all life forms. The lab project focuses on (seasonal) habitats in forests in Austria and Poland, combining data collection for the Atlas of Habitats platform with individual research projects aligned with the given brief.
