Description
Game and play are fundamental cultural techniques of humanity. No childhood has ever been without games, no society is imaginable without play. In discussions, text reading, excursions and guest lectures, and through the individual research of the participants, we
- investigate play as a contradictory and multidimensional cultural practice,
- explore concepts of play in different disciplines and social movements.
Examination Modalities
– Attendance
– Study of literature and active participation in the course
– Presentation of an individual research topic
– Elaboration of this topic in a seminar paper
Comments
The conference language is English.
The number of participants is limited to 25. Students of the MA program Experimental Game Cultures will be given preferential admission. Registration will be confirmed upon attendance at the first session.
