Description

Labyrinths. Write - Get lost - Re-write

Questioning the ancient Minotaur myth .

Reading of other rewritings. (Sarah Kane, Friedrich Dürrenmatt)

Creation of own dramatic texts, which are fed by the confrontation with the myth.

Reading and writing tasks

The aim is to develop an exposé plus some scenes or dramatic material.

This course is part of the EU project "Fabulamundi. Playwriting Europe. New Voices".

The Italian author Magdalena Barile will come to Vienna as a guest in December (5th to 7th). She teaches playwriting at the Scuola di teatro Paolo Grassi in Milan. There will be an artistic exchange between the participants of this course and students from Milan.

A good knowledge of English is required or advantageous for participation in the course.

There are plans for an excursion to Milano in January 2025. Expected date: 8th to 10th of January 2025
