Description

The aim of the course is to develop a teaching concept (with reference to and positioning in the curriculum), to try it out and test it in practice, and then to reflect on, evaluate and adapt it. The adapted concept is to be prepared as an open source toolbook.

Attendance of the course Translating I is strongly recommended, as it can be used as a starting point.

Examination Modalities

Seminar paper of 20,000-25,000 characters (text body: process of implementing the teaching concept and theoretical, didactic contextualization as well as evaluation of the concept, pictures and descriptions of the conceptual steps, in the appendix the adapted toolbook)
Toolbook* (see notes for submission requirements)
Last possible submission date: 28.02.2025

Submissions after the last possible submission date can no longer be considered, the seminar must be repeated.

Comments

It is strongly recommended to attend the course Translating I in advance, 15 students can be accepted for the course. We ask for your understanding and refer you to the alternative offer.
The course must be attended in parallel to the subject-related school practice (FASP).
The course must be attended in parallel with supervision (FASP).
Continuous attendance (maximum of three excused absences). If there are more than three absences, the course must be repeated.
If the submission deadline cannot be met due to health or other personal reasons, an email must be sent to the course management by the last possible day of submission at the latest. Only in this case can a grace period of 14 days be granted.

Submission of the seminar paper and the toolbook: The seminar paper is to be sent by e-mail to the course management. The toolbook must be uploaded as a packaged In-Design file to the base of the corresponding course. Base Link
Access to InDesign: Programs (and training) are available to every student of Angewandte throughout their studies in the computer studio (OKP 5th floor, 510). It requires an independent one-time request by e-mail to computerstudio@uni-ak.ac.at with full name, article number and student name.
