Description

We examine aspects of the interview as a filmic investigative practice. The aim of the course is to develop the competence to work independently, practised by producing an interview with a guest or lecturer from the Department of Applied Photography and Time-based Media.

Artistic techniques of conducting interviews and technical basics of time-based work - conception, recording, editing and export for web formats are deepened.

In the winter semester 2024/25 we are shooting with Lina Morawetz. In her storytelling course, she deals with loneliness in the city. Lonely City. https://base.uni-ak.ac.at/courses/2024W/S05263/ . A recommendation would be to take both courses in combination.

Examination Modalities

Course-immanent. Min. 85% participation and production of the short film.
