Innovations from a wide variety of disciplines, whether ideological, aesthetic, political, material science, process engineering, ... shape our image of design in their relationship to one another. The development of design can therefore also be understood as an interdisciplinary research process.

In dealing with design-historical phenomena, new horizons are opened for the understanding of design in some of these facets. The variety of strategies from the historical fund also offers a broad basis of opportunities for action today.

The value for design didactics lies, among other things, in the questioning of historical approaches to design in terms of contemporaryness and suitability for the future.

A holistic understanding of design products is only possible through direct contact with them. Especially in design didactics, this comprehensive understanding is the prerequisite for any teaching activity.

Products with different levels of reputation - from anonymous everyday design to design classics - are tangible and usable as originals in the lv. Products from different product sectors and eras become the content of a complex discussion in the 3 block events, whereby these are researched, discussed and used as an impulse for design-related mediation approaches.

 

Examples of theoretical and practical design education expand the didactic repertoire.

 

diploma: 

Submission of a written/practical work by February 28th. 2025.   

 

presence: 

In principle, attendance is mandatory. If you are absent due to illness, a certificate from a doctor must be presented. A minimum attendance of 80% is required to complete the course.
