2024W, scientific seminar (SEW), 4.0 ECTS, 2.0 semester hours, course number S03583

Description

The course will introduce students to office-level project development and BIM (REVIT). Therefore, each student is asked to develop a small-scale project. Each seminar is structured in three parts: The first part consists of a short lecture giving insights into all planning phases, from competition to construction. During the second part, all aspects will be put into the context of BIM. Design methods, workflows, calculation and evaluation tools will be explained. The third part of the seminar will give students time to apply the acquired knowledge to their individual designs right away. Support will be given when necessary.

Examination Modalities

A minimum of 80% of attendance is required to pass. Each student gets evaluated individually. Group projects are not possible.

50%: active attendance (asking questions, engagement in discussions, presentation of your work during the semester)

50%: final project (as this course engages beginners, as well as advanced learners, the grading of the project, will consider the development of each student throughout the semester and not only the final outcome)

Presence at the first meeting is mandatory for participation.
