Unconscious Bias:
Design a concept for an app that exposes a bias
One's age, gender, gender identity, physical abilities, religion, sexual orientation, weight, and many other characteristics are subject to bias. Unconscious biases are social stereotypes about certain groups of people that individuals form outside their conscious awareness.
- In the course, we design a user experience to expose/explain a bias.
- We try out fresh and playful approaches to UI/UX design.
- Every student develops a small digital prototype of a playful app following the design thinking process
- Students can work with a prototyping tool of choice (most likely Figma)
- no coding skills are needed; we produce clickdummies only.
The course is for Students interested in Interface design (UI/UX)
In the course, we will receive input and support from a guest expert in Gender equality and unconscious bias.
80%+ Presence at the weekly meetings is mandatory.
Every Student presents an interactive click dummy at the end of the Semester which is graded.
