Introduction to the artistic application and research of immersive media
In the seminar, the different modes of action of immersive media (VR, AR/MR and fulldome) are analyzed in the context of artistic application and analyzed and discussed with practical examples from artists.In addition, practical exercises will be used to deal with the specifics of the different dispositives (immersion, presence, flow, etc.).
There will also be a brief introduction to the fulldome laboratory and the associated infrastructure.
- Regular attendance and active participation
- Creation of an artistic exercise within the framework of the course
Basic knowledge of digital image and sound editing desired.
The session take place in the fulldome lab of the Department of Digital Arts
