Beschreibung

The Future of Landscape is a hands-on seminar that will take you on an adventure through re-imagining how we can inhabit our urban landscapes on our rapidly-changing planet. Which human skills, which cottage industries, which strange traditions do we need, do we require?

Using a combination of digital and analog tools, we engage with the city and will find Weird Vienna, and pair ourselves with Strange Yorkshire, particularly the so-called Rhubarb Triangle, home to a cottage industry of rhubarb growers. We will examine relevant texts together as well has explore the skills we have collectively to envision and produce a final output of our research. We will drift, collect evidence, and work in a hybrid digital/physical manner. A collective decision around the research we have compiled and will produce a final product from it.

This seminar is highly collaborative, spontaneous, and interdisciplinary. Expect delight and surprise as well as challenge and a confrontation around your own disciplinary and ethical position.

Prüfungsmodalitäten
