Description

Tufting Technology - Painting with Yarn

This innovative course provides a unique introduction to the world of tufting, a captivating form of textile art. Students have the opportunity to create abstract and complex patterns by inserting yarn into fabric. The creative process begins with experimentation, where typographic templates and sketches are projected onto the base material. By varying yarns, color palettes, and textures, unique visual effects can be achieved. The seminar aims to impart fundamental knowledge of tufting for the development of ornamental compositions and surface designs. Emphasis is placed not only on the craftsmanship of textile printing but also on creating a connection between craftsmanship, art, and product design.

In collaboration with Atelier Fleck: This course is conducted in collaboration with Atelier Fleck (https://www.atelierfleck.com/). The Atelier provides significant expertise, know-how, and resources. The Atelier Fleck team serves as a valuable source of knowledge, supporting us in the implementation of the course. Their assistance extends across various aspects, from workshop supervision to professional advice, ensuring a comprehensive and high-quality learning experience.
