2024S, Vorlesung und Übungen (VU), 1.0 ECTS, 1.0 semester hours, course number S04873
Description
This course aims to explore strategies and possibilities for enhancing the digital experiential aspects of analog wall design and its associated processes. Collaboratively with students, we will seek out tools and media that are well-suited for this purpose. The utilization of augmented reality to transform the wall into an immersive experience, portraying the design process through the medium of a TikTok reel, generating a 3D object of the design location via LIDAR scan, employing artificial intelligence to create alternative designs, virtual reality painting on the same wall, among others, will be investigated. These investigations will be conducted through small-group experimentation with digital tools and techniques, culminating in the presentation of our findings.
Additionally, a specific subgroup of students will focus on the analog aspects of wall design. Within the context of this endeavor, interested individuals or practitioners will be provided with an introduction to the techniques employed in professional mural creation.
Examination Modalities
Continuous active participation during class and the quality of the practical outcome.
