Description
The lecture is aimed at students with existing work experience in the B/W positive darkroom - basic knowledge in the preparation of hand prints is a prerequisite for participation in the course!
An analogue B/W image consists only of white, black and grey tones? This rhetorical question will be answered with "no" right at the beginning of the course: the focus will be on the colour potential of the b/w material. During the course, various colouring techniques will be introduced and applied in practice, from chemical toner baths to colouring with vegetable dyes, as well as experimenting with colours created by applying chemicals to photographic paper and with warm-tone and cold-tone papers. Individual concepts are developed in a group process and then put into practice.
