The exercise takes place in the rooms of the natural science laboratory of the Institute of Conservation and Restoration. This exercise will cover the legal, theoretical and practical safety aspects of using hazardous substances and laboratory equipment. The theoretical part focuses on the recognition and avoidance of hazards in general and the safe handling of chemicals in particular. In the practical part, application examples are used to teach the safety-relevant aspects with regard to self-protection and protection of others and the chemical basics for the work as a conservator.
