Description

Why and how people use urban environments as they do?

Urbanisation is one key element to address current challenges, but cities require new measures to improve their ecological impact and remain a livable place. This requires an understanding of human behavior tendencies and preferences. We will learn how to provide an empirical basis for decision making. The class will consist of two main parts: In the first part we will establish the theoretical basis, and in the second part students will work in groups, devising a research question, collect data, analyse data and interpret their findings. The group works will be discussed in the plenum.
