SOAK Biomimicry—Summer Academy 2024 in Tyrol
Nature’s Learning Lab—Innovation Inspired by Nature

You will engage with nature directly and learn from her genius to address pressing challenges that humanity is facing at this time, such as the climate and biodiversity crises hitting the region of Karwendel in Tyrol, in particular, the local woodlands and forests.
Preparatory Online Sessions: 6, 20, 27 June + 4 July 2024 (evenings, approx. 2h)
Biomimicry Immersion Week: 14 — 20 July 2024

How to apply
1. Register for this course by 30 April 2024.
2. Go to the Application Webpage  and follow the instructions.
3. Submit your application by the end of the day of 30 April 2024.

In total, there will be 25 participants selected from various universities to take part in the summer academy. Applicants will be notified whether or not they have been accepted by 6 May 2024. Further instructions for participants will follow.

This course is held in partnerschip with COOP Sustainable Universities (SOAK Initiator), University of Applied Sciences Burgenland (SOAK Lead together with dieAngewandte) and MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® (SOAK 2024 Host).

To earn the 3 ECTS of this course it is necessary to have ­participated* in and completed

— all the preparatory online work (days 1-4)
— all the independent assignments (days 1-4)
— all the group work during the Biomimicry Immersion Week (days 5-10)

* Participation means:

— full participation in the work of Days 1-10
— full physical (and punctual) attendance during Days 5-10 of the Biomimicry ­Immersion Week
