2021S
Bernhard Sommer
Architecture, Energy Design
2024S, scientific seminar (SEW), 3.0 ECTS, 2.0 semester hours, course number S03536
This seminar initially was intended for students whose Bachelor degree has gaps in the field of building physics.
There will be regular lectures on
climate, thermal behaviour of buildings, thermal comfort, moisture in buildings, daylight supply, airborne noise and impact noise as well as room acoustics.
The teaching methode will connect the theory to instant application in design by
hands-on teaching of Ladybug-Honeybee tools.
Chapters are:
1 Energy, 2 Heat Transfer, 3 Humidity, 4 Climate, 5 Daylighting, 6 Sound, 7 Acoustics
Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 are introduced in the winter semester.
In the summer semester, Chapters 1 to 5 are deepened and introduced in Chapters 6, 7.
For those who need the grades to complete their Bachelor:You will be provided a catalogue of questions. Work out all questions. In an oral exam, you will be asked questions from each chapter of the semester.
New Methode for the Master students:
For each chapter you do a quick LB/HB design integration exercise. By the end of the semester you have a collection of exercises. You compile these to a PDF documentation as a semester contribution and hand it in as your seminar work.
Each exercise will be worked out in class.
Basically for those students who lacked knowledge of building physics was certified in the notification of admission. Also open to those who are interested.
