TWILIGHT ZONE. Between Art and Design

The tension between autonomous sculpture and service, the play between functionality and autonomy, between industrial production, craft and artistic authorship has been constantly renegotiated. In this course we devote ourselves to artistic positions and strategies that foreground questions of usability, allocation, and function. Visits to exhibitions, workshops and studios will accompany the development of individual artistic artworks. Towards the end of the semester we prepare a common exhibition.

Immanent examination character: regular attendance, cooperation as well as the conception of an individual artwork are important.
