2024S, künstlerisches Seminar (SEK), 2.0 ECTS, 2.0 SemStd., LV-Nr. S02792

Beschreibung

Through a combination of theory and practice, the course explores the artistic potential of world-building and interaction to represent “other realities” as well as questioning the idea of self, identity, body and space by embodying the virtual, re-mapping and re-structuring the physical and performing within a (new) hybrid reality.

The lecture "Digital Design and Virtuality II" continues the previous semester journey into Interactive Virtual Simulations and Game Art using Unity3D and further develops into Hybrid Extended Reality Art online.
The first part of the lecture aims at detailing and finalising the interactive virtual projects developed in the previous semester by exploring and experimenting with the use (and misuse) of new free / open source media and apparatuses for asset creation like moCap (AI-based and with MoCap suit tracking) animations, 3D scanning and more.
The second part of the lecture provides an overview of historical and contemporary examples of Hybrid and Extended Reality Art and a practical introduction to experimental webAR (html / css).

Prüfungsmodalitäten
