During the once-weekly plenum of the photography class, the students present their artistic work and convey their current projects to those present in terms of language and content. A discussion develops, during which the presented projects are questioned and argued. The focus placed on this process enables the students to address the content of the contributions to the discussion, which can be decisive in the eventual realization of the work.

The weekly one to one meetings support the development described above and stimulate the process of idea finding.

The free engagement with the medium of photography includes the possibility of using and including other forms of expression such as drawing, video, performance and spatial installation. The students explore and develop individual artistic concepts and strategies. Free spaces and new visual languages ​​are created.

In the winter term 2023, an intensive content and practice-oriented lecture series in the field of photography and the artistic strategies associated with it will take place as part of the central artistic subject. A wide range from the understanding of everyday demands on life as an artist to the possibilities of the exhibition setting, digital changes as a tool, the development of artistic ideas in the implementation for exhibition design as well as the historical to contemporary embedding of artistic photographic positions will be illuminated in numerous lectures by various experts, artists, architects, etc.
