The aim of studying photography in the field of fine arts is for the students to develop individual ways of finding images and to achieve an independent artistic position. The specially promoted examination of content and the learning of analogue and digital photographic techniques form the prerequisite for using the medium of photography freely, according to the artistic idea. The students in the first semester are integrated into the class structure and, in addition to the events offered in the central artistic subject, attend specific workshops on various content-related and technical focal points. An intensive and content-related exchange takes place during the weekly class plenum and in the individual discussions in order to enable and promote the development of artistic independence.
