Topics and contents

The course offers an overview of the fields of graphic design with a focus on print. The aim is to learn the basics of design and to work on them using exercises and conceptual tasks. Processual design in the sense of research, conception and design up to layout/dummy and its presentation is taught.

Introductions to the topics: - Composition (point, line, surface, contrasts, movement, rhythm, space, dramaturgy) - Colour - Poster design - Branding, corporate identity, corporate design.

Practical topics to be worked on: The visualisation of contents with images and/or text and their dialectics are applied by means of different practical graphic design tasks.

- Group discussions and individual talks

Lehrveranstaltung findet im Wintersemester statt.

Vorrangig Studierende der Studienzweige Grafik Design und Grafik und Werbung.

Begrenzte TeilnehmerInnenzahl.

 

Studierende anderer Studienrichtungen, die das Fach benötigen nach Maßgabe von Plätzen.
